We are one of those professional organizations. We understand. We don't judge. We are here to help reclaim lives, one item, one inch at a time. Step One Ready to get started? We have worked with: Hoarders who have contacted us directly after a self-described "awakening" Adult children of hoarders Families with children Mental Health Workers Social Workers Landlords Friends In our experience, it is most beneficial if the client chooses a trusted friend or relative to accompany them along this journey, though a specialized therapist would be optimal. During the initial meeting we: Assess the living conditions Identify the type* of hoarding Evaluate the client's thought processes/ emotions as they relate to the hoarding Discuss the client's long and short-term goals Provide our initial thoughts on how we can help him/her reach those goals. Step Two After our meeting, we prepare a detailed plan customized to the unique needs and desires of the client, including: A step-by-step guide to our process* Probable time-line for each step Written Cost Proposal Copy of our contract and guarantee for review. We can return with the above in as little as 24-hours from the ajournment of our consultation. This is provided at no cost or obligation. We thoroughly review these documents with the client and his/her interested parties, answering questions and addressing any concerns, ensuring that there is an atmosphere of open communication before any agreement to proceed is made. It is imperative to us that our clients have the utmost confidence and trust in our character and ethics if we are to work together.
